I thought I would give keeping a blog a go.

Recently, I have been focussing on developing a product that is a postable item and that can somehow incorporate a little bit of the history behind the studio.

Back in its day and when The Old Brickworks was making their bricks, my studio space was where the clay that was freshly dug up and wheeled in to and where it began its cleaning process.

That being said, my first product was to kind of bring a bit of that history in and use a brick to create an incense burner, the product development is to test shape and which clay was most effective in appearance.

So here is the clay being pressed into a crevice in the brick itself.

The pieces are then removed.

And here are the final results of my ‘Jostick Brick’ on the left. On the right, the Star has been impressed with an edge of a brick.
